If you browse the internet there has been an increase of number of opportunities that promote the passive income lifestyle. To say an increase is to put it mildly. The internet and free classifieds are actually flooded with passive income ideas.

I have been in my search for a passive income for quite a few years now, and I have tried few things and I came to the following conclusions:

Many people when they come across a passive income idea they expect not to do anything and the money will come. That is the gist of passive income, but it is not like you will not do anything and the cash will start flowing.
Lets look at different passive income ideas, some traditional and some not so traditional

  • Put your moPassive Income Ideaney in the bank and earn interest. This will be passive but to earn a significant amount of passive income you need to start with a significan t capital. Like any other opportunity it has risks attached to it.
  • Buy property and rent it out. This is a good and traditional idea, it is passive, but also involves work. The main thing here is that you need to know what you are doing. You may need an initial capital, although there are ways of buying property with no money, but you need to know what you are doing. So you need education and it will always involve some work from your side, before buying and after buying the property.
  • Stock market. This is a traditional idea, where you buy stock and wait and see. You really need to understand how the stock market works to make money, and yes it is passive, but you always need to act with caution.
  • Internet marketing/affiliate marketing: This can generate a passive income but at the beginning is not passive, unless youPassive Income Opportunitiesjust outsourcing everything and paying someone to do the business for you. This is a good option but it requires lots of learning  and doing to start with
  • Network Marketing, or MLM, this business model can generate passive income but as said, every business requires you to educate yourself and to do an initial amount of work. In some cases and for an initial period of time you might need to work harder than in a 9 to 5 job.

My point is that no business is totally passive. You need to do your initial work. Then you might get some passive income later. But In some cases it might be easier to achieve the sort of “passive income” idea.

I have previously tried a couple of multilevel marketing companies, with no success.  I must be honest, many of the times I did not put the effort needed to build the business and enjoy that passive income. But looking at the successful people, it was not as passive as I thought it would be.  Recently I have been reading lots again about multilevel marketing, and after realizing that is a business that will help me develop my communication skills and make me grow personally I again went in search of a suitable company. For me a suitable company would be a company tPassive Income Streamshat offers a product that I love, and that is affordable so that I can refer others to the opportunity knowing that they will benefit from it.
To my surprise I found one company that I really like.  It is affordable to join, and it is in the personal development field, which I love.  I researched the company and have been in contact with them many times, and what I like is their honesty. They do not promise you to generate a passive income in the next couple of months. But they assured that if you do minimum work for 15 minutes to 30 minutes a day, then after 6 months or a year you will start seeing some results.
The company is an international company, for all English speaking people, it has great quality products, and if you do the work, they will help you as much as they can for you to success. I found Be Motivated Today to be an inspiring company that anyone can join, since the fees are really affordable and their compensation plan makes it easy to generate with time a passive income. Am I successful yet? No. I just joined the company but I think anyone that is interested in making some extra money should at least consider it. You can try their products for 14 days free.  I personally been in touch with people that have been successful with this opportunity, and they all assured me that if I do my work, it really works.
Am I expecting to generate my income only from this company? Not but I am using this company and their products to develop some of the skills I think I need to develop, like communication and leadership skills. I also realize that in these times and with the future predictions anyone will benefit by having extra income and not putting all eggs in one basket. So personally I am telling anyone I know about this passive income idea. It might be for you or not, but if you do not look at it, you would not know.

PS, Watch out for another posts where I will explain exactly what this company offers, and will describe their products.

We have all heard about the power of positive thinking and how it can change and improve our lives. If we think positive thoughts then we expect positive results, we confront challenges in a positive manner and we look forward to the best result.

Sometimes we do not get the best, but that is life. I believe we came here to learn a lesson, and some of the lessons get presented as challenges. The important thing is your attitude to face the challenge you are dealt with.

Positive thoughts are not just something we change from one day to the other one. It involves a change of ourselves, of our mindset, of our lifestyles. Let me explain what I mean. I will best explain it with my experience. I included positive thoughts in my life, everyday I do my affirmations and when things go bad I become aware of it and change my thoughts. But I am not always aware of it.

At the same time we all need to vent sometimes. Yes, things happen and we vent. So I came to realise that sometimes I vent with too many people, therefore emphasizing things that did not have the outcome I wanted. But that was not on purpose. If I speak to a friend and she asks me how things are, I just tell them how they are. With this I am stressing the negative things, but also my friends think I am complaining. At the beginning this annoyed me because I was not complaining. I was just merely telling the way things were. Then I thought that complaining or not complaining I am giving too much emphasis on things that are not positive.

I have made a commitment this week to incorporate this to my life. I will vent with my coach and one other person. I will say it once to get it out of my system and then leave it to the universe. To the rest I will just say things are great, and speak about the positives. This way I will minimise the negative, the whining and complaining. I will embrace every minute as a lesson.

How about you?  Do you tell all your problems to all your friends?

Do you talk to your friend about the good things or do you meet for coffee to complain about your boss, your partner, or your lack of luck?

I would like to read your comments on this.

This week I decided to re learn how to laugh. It is actually sad that I had reached this point in my life.  But this is part of my commitment to my development.  If you think when we were children we smiled and laughed for the silliest things. Just watch children, they have a natural and contagious laughter.

I come to realize that sometimes I take life too seriously. Then I forget to laugh. It is actually sad that some of us consider take life as something serious forgetting to laugh regularly.

When I used to go to school I used to have laughter attacks and would start laughing at anything and would be tempted to continue for hours, anything was enough to start the laughter. Somehow with the challenges that life gave me I lost that ability. I do not know how fear, worries and anxiety made me become a sort of serious person. I am really sorry that I have missed so much in the last years just because I was more involved with “adult” life.

When I watch my own children I can see they just are free souls that not worry about much. They can cry and laugh almost in a second. They are more in touch with their emotions.  It s a spontaneous laugh and it can go on for a long time.

This week I have started to experiment with my children, to participate, to share their emotions. I have now started laughing with them. We tickle each other and we have fun for about ten minutes. I love feeling connected again with that inner child. In this way I also release all the tension I have in me.

Laughter is a survival mechanism; it really helps to overcome challenges. Humour and laughter increase the wish to live. This of course helps you to continue despite all the challenges life gives you. Try to laugh, even if you fake it, and be aware of how you feel afterwards/ Even a smile will change your mindset.

Laughter has tremendous physical and psychological benefits. Some of them are:

  • It reduces stress. Laughter reduces the stress hormones while increasing enhancing hormones like endorphins, the happy hormone
  • It provides a good emotional and physical release. You feel lighter afterwards.
  • It acts as a pain killer; it reduces the emotional and physical pain you feel by increasing the pain threshold.
  • It gives your abdomen a workout. It exercises the diaphragm, the abs and even the shoulders.
  • It keeps you younger. Smiling or laughing exercises muscles we do not use otherwise making you feel younger.
  • It keeps depression away, It also distracts you from your worries
  • It increases your immune system
  • It reduces aggression.
  • It makes us feel like children again.
  • It helps us make connections and therefore improve our social life. Laughing connects people; it breaks the silence and breaks the ice in an uncomfortable situation. I

laughter benefits

This is what I have been doing this week, twice a day.  I have set the timer for 5 minutes and started laughing without stopping. I had to fake it at the beginning but then I got myself going. Also my children joined in and we all had a good laugh. It was incredible how light I felt afterwards

Life does not need to be serious. Do you have the courage to try it?

I would love to hear your comments and experiences on this.

Do you laugh often?

When you laugh how do you feel?

Tell us about any anecdote.

I have been involved in personal development for many years, reading self help books since I was a teenager. I always dreamt of becoming a  public speaker and helping people.

One of the obstacles I had to overcome to be a coach was to accept that my life does not need to be perfect before I can coach someone else. This belief was also introduced by people that surrounded me that believed I could never be a coach/ public speaker if I did not  sort out my life first.

Since then I have learned that this statement is a myth. My life will never be perfect. Or perhaps depending on your beliefs  my life is perfect because I am where I am supposed to be and therefore everybody’s life is perfect.

What I meant above is that my life will always have challenges. It is through the challenges that we learn. My personal belief is that we come here to learn and it would be pointless to stay around if we are perfect and not learning.

In my coaching practice I have often found that my clients challenges are also mine. They are a mirror of my life, and the more I coach them the more I learn myself.

I decided to write this post so that I make clear to everybody out there that my life is not perfect and it will never be. In fact this year has been one of the most difficult ones, and the previous years have not been easy either.  In this article I wanted to commit to share with you my personal journey and how I will be overcoming different challenges I have. The more challenges the more powerful we become.

I know it is easier said than done but I think the important point is to constantly remind us what we are learning. Sometimes when we are a bit down, or worried about something we can get lost in our problem and forget all the good things we learned in life. Oh well, we live and learn.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Enjoy your journey.
