Beliefs are our core foundation in life. Whatever we believe, we are, whatever we believe we become. Our lives are built on our beliefs. Our opinions, attitudes, successes, failures all come back to our beliefs.

When we wake up each morning, our choice of glass half full or glass half empty depends on our beliefs. So many times we are not even aware of what we believe. Watch this video about my beliefs on beliefs.

We have all heard about universal laws or perhaps we just have heard about the law of attraction which the movie “The Secret” was based on. But actually there are several interrelated universal laws that if you consciously apply them you could achieve anything you want in life including your dreams.

The Universal laws are based in the concept that everything is energy. Everything that surrounds us, including ourselves and our thoughts, is energy. We are a group of electrons constantly flowing and transforming. As we studied at school, energy never get lost, it just transforms. This energy circulates amongst us and as we are all interconnected in some way or another, we transmit this energy to others. You have probably experienced entering a room and feeling attracted to certain persons because they have a similar vibration to you On the contrary you will feel certain rejection towards people with different vibration, like negative people if you are in a positive mood.

Coming back to the universal laws, there are different laws. Most of them overlap, but they all work even if we are not aware of them.  For example, a person that is tired of his job and he only thinks “I do not want this job any more”, “I hate my job” will end up continue working at that job unless he changes his thoughts. Even if he is not aware, he is using the law of attraction to attract this same undesirable situation. But if on the contrary he had thought: “this job is only temporary because I actually want to be a pilot and he focus in what he wants, his dreams will eventually become true. Everything starts in the mind, positive or negative, and thereafter the thoughts become reality.  In this case this person is not aware that he is applying the law of attraction, but indeed he is. So, why not apply it in such a way that benefits him?

You may wonder when and how to apply these laws? The laws work in all aspects of our lives, from losing weight and keeping healthy, to relationships with partners, children, family, friends and colleagues, when we try to achieve success at work or when we want to live a balanced and happy life, or even when we try to find a parking space at the shopping mall entrance.

Let’s look at another example of how these laws influence our lives. One of the laws states that if we want to attract new things into our lives we should create a space.  This applies equally to material objects as to relationships. There are lots of people that want to attract the ideal partner or soul mate, but they keep thinking about the last relationship without letting go of it. Therefore they do not create the space to attract a new person into their lives. The same applies to objects. If a person wants to attract wealth, but he has accumulated clutter in his space, that person will have difficulties having a clear mind and attracting new things or wealth into his life.

You can now realise that these laws are constantly working in our lives and many times we are not aware or we do not want to be aware of them. But I want to remind you that if you use these laws in a beneficial manner you stand nothing to lose. Perhaps it takes you sometimes to get used to them, but after a while you will feel much better especially when you start getting positive results.

It is worth mentioning that sometimes we are not aware that we are applying these laws to our detriment. For example when someone wishes to be successful in his career, but intimately he thinks that “he does not deserve it” this person is really applying the law of allowance in a negative way. In this case he is not allowing his dream to become reality.

Consider the huge impact these laws have in our lives, I want to encourage you to be more aware of them and that you practice them daily in a beneficial manner. To do this and to learn more about the universal laws I would like to invite you to a free seminar that I will be giving next Wednesday the 30th of June at 3:00pm Johannesburg time on Skype (skype name: coachtoexcellence)

I would also like to read your positive and negative experiences with the universal laws, so therefore please be so kind as to tell us about your experiences below, so that we can all learn from them.

Lately I have been accused not only of not being an interesting person but of being the most uninteresting person in the world.
Well, first I took offense of it but then I started thinking what makes a person interesting.

This is not an easy question to answer. We are here born into this world, as unique persons, we all have unique virtues and unique obstacles to overcome, We all have unique experiences we have lived through and unique lessons to learn. We all have our unique purposes to live, so what entitles someone to judge another person as the most uninteresting person in the world. That cannot be true, because a person can be very uninteresting to someone and the next person can find me very interesting because of their values. and experiences.
Unfortunately people that are not talkative are often labeled as boring. I personally do not talk much, because I do not find a need for it. I communicate when needed, but find no value in small talk. Also because we live in a time where we have busy schedules and less time for ourselves, and also because of all negative news we are surrounded by, I choose not to listen to news or read newspapers or magazines. So, yes I do not know much what is going on around in Hollywood, or in politics, but I know quite a bit of what is going on on the online world. So, yes If someone comes to talk with me about the latest gossip in Hollywood or in politics, I would probably sound very boring to them.

So are introverted people uninteresting? Thinking about it, I just think we all have a connection with everybody, and depends on that connection we can find some interesting and some not. But I do believe we are all interesting people and we all came here to live different experiences, and maybe one’s lesson maybe is too be quieter and maybe some of us have a greater connection without words, and without needing to do small talk.

And indeed, if I find a person that knows lots about my own interests, surely I would find them more interesting than someone that has completely different values to mine.
Well, after rambling a bit here, my point is that everyone in this planet is interesting, and have some lessons to live and learn. So we cannot judge someone else by its cover, without attempting to know their situation. And there is always the issue of “when you pointing fingers to someone, there are always three fingers pointing back to you”. Something to think about.

Well, it has been a while since my last post and can you believe that we are already in the second month of 2010.
I apologize for not having posted before, but I myself have gone through lots of changes in my life, and was really trying to adapt to them. I will talk about them later on.
So this is a short blog to let you now, that I am still around, and that I will be implementing some changes in my blog.
Initially thought it was going to be just a technical blog, but I always loved self development, so I am planning to intertwine both of them., and will be releasing some products as I go along.

My experience has been this year that sometimes I get scared and want to go back to what it was, to the safety net I had before, to what I know, and I know I am good at. But then I look at myself, and say, well if I keep just in one place, sure enough I will be excellent in what I do, but that will be just so narrow minded. We only have an average of 80 years in this lifetime, and if we only experience one thing all our life, what a lose… We could have experienced so much more, and what is the worst that can happen if we do not succeed?
Lets be honest, what is the worst and worst that can happen if we take a risk and we do not succeed. Well to be honest the worst is that we can die in the process. But other than that, if we ended up in any other situation we do not like, believe me, we always have the power to raise ourselves out of that situation, and change our lives again.
Remember we are energy, our thoughts are energy and we create and we can create everything we have around us, so no matter what situation we find ourselves into, we can change it.

If you want to change your life change your mind. This sometimes sounds quite harsh to people that do not
know how mind works, but the reality is that is truth. Your life reflects your thoughts. So if you want to
have a great life you need to think great thoughts.
And I know is hard to think great thoughts, but I learned it is the only way. We are surrounded with so much negativity that no wonder there is so many depressed people. Newspapers, and news broadcasts are so negative that even we assume is natural.
I recently went to visit my family to my home country. Having lived far from my country for almost 20 years, I forget every time I go there how dramatic the news broadcast are. I was there at the time of the swine fever and other mosquito illnesses were going around. For the three weeks I was there the news broadcasters only talked about the same issues. The sad part is that you could sense it in the people reaction. They were so stressed up about the matter, that were scared of being in contact with nature. No wonder people on the street were unfriendly and negative.
So yes, if you want to change your life change your mind. You need to make a conscious effort to do so. You can use affirmations, you could also ask a close person to remind you every day about it, you could read a positive book every day, a nice thing to do is writing a gratitude list every day. Iy only takes 5 minutes to write a gratitude list. Just mention the things you are grateful for. Also helps to keep positive affirmations on the walls or bathroom mirror. and surround yourself with positive people. You will soon notice that the principle of change your life change your mind is truth
