Lately I have been accused not only of not being an interesting person but of being the most uninteresting person in the world.
Well, first I took offense of it but then I started thinking what makes a person interesting.

This is not an easy question to answer. We are here born into this world, as unique persons, we all have unique virtues and unique obstacles to overcome, We all have unique experiences we have lived through and unique lessons to learn. We all have our unique purposes to live, so what entitles someone to judge another person as the most uninteresting person in the world. That cannot be true, because a person can be very uninteresting to someone and the next person can find me very interesting because of their values. and experiences.
Unfortunately people that are not talkative are often labeled as boring. I personally do not talk much, because I do not find a need for it. I communicate when needed, but find no value in small talk. Also because we live in a time where we have busy schedules and less time for ourselves, and also because of all negative news we are surrounded by, I choose not to listen to news or read newspapers or magazines. So, yes I do not know much what is going on around in Hollywood, or in politics, but I know quite a bit of what is going on on the online world. So, yes If someone comes to talk with me about the latest gossip in Hollywood or in politics, I would probably sound very boring to them.

So are introverted people uninteresting? Thinking about it, I just think we all have a connection with everybody, and depends on that connection we can find some interesting and some not. But I do believe we are all interesting people and we all came here to live different experiences, and maybe one’s lesson maybe is too be quieter and maybe some of us have a greater connection without words, and without needing to do small talk.

And indeed, if I find a person that knows lots about my own interests, surely I would find them more interesting than someone that has completely different values to mine.
Well, after rambling a bit here, my point is that everyone in this planet is interesting, and have some lessons to live and learn. So we cannot judge someone else by its cover, without attempting to know their situation. And there is always the issue of “when you pointing fingers to someone, there are always three fingers pointing back to you”. Something to think about.

Well, it has been a while since my last post and can you believe that we are already in the second month of 2010.
I apologize for not having posted before, but I myself have gone through lots of changes in my life, and was really trying to adapt to them. I will talk about them later on.
So this is a short blog to let you now, that I am still around, and that I will be implementing some changes in my blog.
Initially thought it was going to be just a technical blog, but I always loved self development, so I am planning to intertwine both of them., and will be releasing some products as I go along.

My experience has been this year that sometimes I get scared and want to go back to what it was, to the safety net I had before, to what I know, and I know I am good at. But then I look at myself, and say, well if I keep just in one place, sure enough I will be excellent in what I do, but that will be just so narrow minded. We only have an average of 80 years in this lifetime, and if we only experience one thing all our life, what a lose… We could have experienced so much more, and what is the worst that can happen if we do not succeed?
Lets be honest, what is the worst and worst that can happen if we take a risk and we do not succeed. Well to be honest the worst is that we can die in the process. But other than that, if we ended up in any other situation we do not like, believe me, we always have the power to raise ourselves out of that situation, and change our lives again.
Remember we are energy, our thoughts are energy and we create and we can create everything we have around us, so no matter what situation we find ourselves into, we can change it.

One of the ways of leveraging  your time as a coach is to create products that you can sell on the internet. In this way you can access more people at the same time, and the cost of the product will be much cheaper than your time, therefore it will be more affordable to people.

If you do not know how to create an information product, continue reading because I have good news for you!

I have recently had the pleasure of interviewing Janet Beckers (creator of Wonderful Web Women), and she is going to show you how to turn your passion (be it coaching,  gardening, scrap booking, health, internet marketing, cooking, home renovations or anything else) into a saleable info product in 59 minutes or less.
Then Janet will show you how to name your product so people are eager to buy it and to do business with you.

But the fun doesn’t stop there because then Janet is going to let you put your info product on her blog for FREE for 1000’s to check out, admire, appreciate, and learn from.
(This could lead to BIG things for you – traffic to your website, JV opportunities, product sales etc.) For those of you that haven’t made an info product before it’s a good opportunity to ‘step up’ and make it happen because with Janet’s easy step by step guidance it will be a ‘piece of cake for you’.
Why is Janet doing this? Well it’s all part of her 7 Day “Passion into Profits Challenge” designed to spur 1000’s of people into massive action in turning their passion into profits online.

You probably have heard about social media. If you have not I will explain a bit what it is. If you have and you are wondering if you should get into it, I would suggest you read this post. It can be a way of growing your business.

Social media refers to a process where you can promote your services, products or grow the number of people that are interested in your services by using social media means. If you want to get your business known then this is the way to go. This will spread the word about your services and products faster and cheaper than  anything else.

Social media is a media where people interact. It is all part of web2.0. Before the internet used to be one way. You visited a website and read the information. The only way of interacting was via email.
With Web 2.0 and social media, everything is interactive.

For example blogs are also part of Web 2.0. You can read a blog and interact leaving a comment at the end of the blog. Then the author may reply to you. Do you see the picture?

So there are various elements of web 2.0:

  • Blog, If you want to have an internet presence you must have a blog .
  • Video: Video has been around for a couple of years now,and it is very popular .  But like always it needs to be a quality video. Statistics have proven that people remain longer in a website that has a video as opposed to a website where they need to read. Also statistics shows that  video watchers are not only youngsters, but 65% of the viewers are between the ages of 35 and 64. It is a great way of marketing your products or services or offering free assistance to your clients.
  • Then we have the social bookmarking: where you interact by tagging/bookmarking websites like delicious.
  • Social news, to interact by voting for articles. like Digg
  • Social networking where you interact by making friends, join groups, like facebook.

I will go into more details about this in later posts. For now,  start thinking about increasing your presence online.

I was out the other night for my meditation session, but before the session started I quickly phoned my house to make sure everything was in order. Then my son was very upset because he wanted to watch a DVD and he could not operate the DVD machine. He is only 4, and the technology bug has not bitten him yet. So, I told him, please ask dad to put you the DVD, but I knew well that my husband is unable to do that. He is not into technology. I would say he is scared of it.  So my son had to spend the night without a DVD, which it was not a train smash.

But that got me thinking? Are you scared of technology? Does it all seem too overwhelming? Are you scared of pressing the wrong button and breaking it?

The truth is that some people are still scared of technology and some are not interested in it so they just learn the minimum required. And that is perfectly fine. We all have different talents in this world, and we are here to serve each other.  And that is how it should be. It is actually nice to be different.

But the point I want to make is that you do not need to feel frustrated when you cannot solve a problem. It is okay to look for help. And lets face it, even the techies do not know everything. Technology advances at such a rapid rate that it is impossible to know everything. But  thanks to the internet you will always find someone with an answer to your problem.

Ina previous post I discussed the importance of having a niche market. But how do you select one?

First thing to do is to look at your background and experience combined with your passion. What is that you like to do?  What did you enjoy doing before and what were you good at? It is obvious that one of your passions is coaching or mentoring but in which area. But what can you combine with. If you want help finding out your passion try passion test online. You can sign up for a 30 day trial membership.

You also need to look at your strengths. Analyze that are you good at? Do not limit this answer to your professional career or job. What are you good at in your home. in sports, in hobbies, in holidays? You may find that you were good at having a great method to st during your school time. And maybe you can apply that to coach students or postgraduate students. Maybe you are good at organizing your time, and you want to coach people in that aspect, may be you experienced lots of relationships in your life, and from each one you learnt something that led you to have a wonderful relationship. Do you get the idea? You will need to analyze your life and see what your passions are

The narrower your niche, the more specialist you become and he easier to target your market.  But first we need to make sure there is a market. The ideal would be that there is a market for your niche. But you will need to research it and find out about

For this you need to find out :

  • if there is a hungry market that needs your services,
  • If your market has the money to pay for your service there is a competition for this market. Competition is not always bad. IT is good. Sometimes also if there is no competition, it means that there is not a market, or that you ar ea pioneer in your market.
  • How easy you can get to these potential market? Are you going to find them online or offline?

So I suggest you get a notebook and start writing your thoughts about it. I will tell you a bit more about it in the next post.

I have finished iwth my project I was busy with, and I am back on track to update my blog continuously

One thing I experienced after I finished focusing all my attention to my project, is that I am left with thousands of things to do and only 24 hours to do them.  And if you are like me , you probably have experienced it.

There is so much information out there, besides our daily routines that we need to do to survive, that sometimes we get paralyzed and end up doing nothing.

I was having a chat today to my dear coach, and she keeps reminding me of the importance o diarizing and organizing your day with all the things that you wantt to do. And try to stick to it.. I must admit I am still trying to master this art. I was good when I went to school, and di follow this system, but obviously that was prior to internet, and was easier to keep on rack. This is my challenge to keep me on track. And I want to extrend the challenge to you.Try and reasreach and find teh best system that works for you, being a paper diary or outlook calendar, or following the Getting things done method. Just research it, try it out and see which one works best for you. Organize yoru day the previous night, and knwo what you will be doing the next day, and do teh important things first.

I need to apologize that I have not posted anything for a while. But at the moment I am wearing many hats, and I got busy in a urgent project that needed all my attention.. And just when I thought the project was coming to an end, it got extended, so I am still busy with it.

But really, we all think and wait for that big dream of us to happen, and we never enjoy what is happening right now. Months go pass, and we are still trying to achieve our goals we set  up at the beginning of the year. In the mean time we are on the second half of the year!!!. And the last month has gone so quickly I do not record it.

For me, June and July were special months in a way. My birthday is on June and I realised that I am already in the second half of my life, and I am wondering were the last 10 years have gone. Many things happened in the last 10 years, but to  be honest I am still not where I want to be.

Funny enough, it is only in the last 6 months tha I found out were I want to be. It took me over 10 years to find out. Yip!! I did lots of wrong things, that I would change them if I had a chance, but that is life. Maybe i needed to go through all those things to get where I am now. And I am only just starting what it will be a long journey.I wiIll write more as I go.

And July, well July in a way is a sad month. Americans celebrate the independence on the 4th of July.  I lived in he USA for two years, but I was always out of the country on the 4th of July. It just happened that way. But it was on the 4th of July 10 years ago that my sister got her independence from this world.  IT is hard so many things happened in 1 year, let alone 10. Ten years ago on the 4th of July I thought my world came to an end. We think we will never be able to live with what happens. Now ten years later I still have my sister in my memory, but it is now a sweet memory. So you may have heard or not, but “God never presents you with a situation that you cannot handle”. You may not think that at the time, but you will always be able to overcome your obstacles.

Besides, life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. So enjoy every moment of it.
