Passive Income Idea: Does passive income really work?

If you browse the internet there has been an increase of number of opportunities that promote the passive income lifestyle. To say an increase is to put it mildly. The internet and free classifieds are actually flooded with passive income ideas.

I have been in my search for a passive income for quite a few years now, and I have tried few things and I came to the following conclusions:

Many people when they come across a passive income idea they expect not to do anything and the money will come. That is the gist of passive income, but it is not like you will not do anything and the cash will start flowing.
Lets look at different passive income ideas, some traditional and some not so traditional

• Put your money in the bank and earn interest. This will be passive but to earn a significant amount of passive income you need to start with a significan t capital. Like any other opportunity it has risks attached to it.

• Buy property and rent it out. This is a good and traditional idea, it is passive, but also involves work. The main thing here is that you need to know what you are doing. You may need an initial capital, although there are ways of buying property with no money, but you need to know what you are doing. So you need education and it will always involve some work from your side, before buying and after buying the property.

• Stock market. This is a traditional idea, where you buy stock and wait and see. You really need to understand how the stock market works to make money, and yes it is passive, but you always need to act with caution.

• Internet marketing/affiliate marketing: This can generate a passive income but at the beginning is not passive, unless youjust outsourcing everything and paying someone to do the business for you. This is a good option but it requires lots of learning  and doing to start with

• Network Marketing, or MLM, this business model can generate passive income but as said, every business requires you to educate yourself and to do an initial amount of work. In some cases and for an initial period of time you might need to work harder than in a 9 to 5 job.

My point is that no business is totally passive. You need to do your initial work. Then you might get some passive income later. But In some cases it might be easier to achieve the sort of “passive income” idea.

I have previously tried a couple of multilevel marketing companies, with no success.  I must be honest, many of the times I did not put the effort needed to build the business and enjoy that passive income. But looking at the successful people, it was not as passive as I thought it would be.  Recently I have been reading lots again about multilevel marketing, and after realizing that is a business that will help me develop my communication skills and make me grow personally I again went in search of a suitable company. For me a suitable company would be a company that offers a product that I love, and that is affordable so that I can refer others to the opportunity knowing that they will benefit from it.
To my surprise I found one company that I really like.  It is affordable to join, and it is in the personal development field, which I love.  I researched the company and have been in contact with them many times, and what I like is their honesty. They do not promise you to generate a passive income in the next couple of months. But they assured that if you do minimum work for 15 minutes to 30 minutes a day, then after 6 months or a year you will start seeing some results.
The company is an international company, for all English speaking people, it has great quality products, and if you do the work, they will help you as much as they can for you to success. Am I successful yet? No. I just joined the company but I think anyone that is interested in making some extra money should at least consider it. Am I expecting to generate my income only from this company? Not but I am using this company and their products to develop some of the skills I think I need to develop, like communication and leadership skills. I also realize that in these times and with the future predictions anyone will benefit by having extra income and not putting all eggs in one basket. So personally I am telling anyone I know about this passive income idea. It might be for you or not, but if you do not look at it, you would not know.
